The full name of the URL is uniform resource locator and the URL is the web address of the webpage.
The web browser using that URL for find the website from internet.
Through the URL browser is able to find that website or webpage that we are searching quickly.
The URL was explained by Tim Berness-Lee in 1994 and URLs are case-sensitive, meaning we have to take care of lower case and upper case.
All the pages in the website have a unique URL.
It connects with hyper text transfer protocol (http) and www server as we can see below
